How to Play Mathler

The game presents you with several target numbers (the solutions to the equations) and a grid of 6 blank spaces. Your challenge is to construct a mathematical equation (using digits 0-9 and operators +, -, *, /, (, )) that matches each target number.

Input your initial equation into the provided spaces. Be sure to use unique numbers and avoid any repetition from your first calculation! Click the "Enter" button to verify your equation.

The game also employs colored tiles to provide feedback on what you've entered:

  • Green: Indicates a correct character in the correct position – feel free to reuse it in the same spot for your next attempt.
  • Yellow: Signals a correct character but in the wrong position – try adjusting its placement to refine your equation.
  • Gray: Denotes a character that is not present in the equation at all.
  • Employ the feedback provided by the hints to strategically explore different equations until you identify the correct one.

    For example:

Suppose the target number is 23. You can try the equation "96-73". If you enter "96-73", you will get a hint that the numbers 9 and operator “-” are in the correct positions, but the numbers 6, 7, 3 are incorrect.
